1 Rider, 2 Horses 120 Minute Slot £40

Slots are booked in 60 or 120 minute intervals - they start on the hour and end on the hour.
Please arrive on time for your allocated slot. While we will do our best to accommodate late arrivals if there are no bookings immediately afterwards, this cannot be guaranteed.

Terms and Conditions of using Sproxton Gallops
Gallops Terms and Conditions – Please Read Carefully
To use our gallops, you must complete the online liability form via the link at the bottom of this page.
Below is a summary of the key Terms and Conditions that you will be asked to agree to when completing the form. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Liability & Insurance
By using our facilities, you (the hirer) acknowledge that Derek Shaw Racing Limited and its associates accept no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during your visit. We do not provide insurance for you, your horse, tack, or equipment. You are advised to arrange appropriate personal cover.
Rider Safety Requirements
• All riders must wear a riding hat that meets current British Standards and suitable footwear with a defined heel.
• Body protectors are obligatory for under 18's and recommended for adult riders.
• Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (18+), and must be deemed competent to use the facilities by that parent/guardian.
Form Validity
The online form replaces all previous paper versions and will remain valid for the current calendar year (January–December). A new form must be completed if your contact details change.
Agreement and Compliance
By submitting the form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these conditions. Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave and barred from future use. Derek Shaw Racing Limited cannot be held responsible for non-compliance.
Access & Payment
Derek Shaw Racing Limited reserves the right to close the gallops at any time without notice.
Payment must be made either locally by cash or cheque, or via BACS at least 24 hours in advance. You will receive confirmation upon booking.
General Rules
• Familiarise yourself with the area and watch for any hazards.
• Park only in the designated area.
• Keep all facilities clean and tidy.
• Close all gates behind you upon arrival and departure.
• Lone riders are strongly advised to be accompanied by another rider or a person on foot for safety.
• Do not walk horses through the yard to prevent any risk of disease transmission to racehorses.
• You are hiring the gallops only – please do not use the grassland or any other yard facilities.
• Please pick up droppings from both the yard and gallops.
Data Protection
By completing the form, you agree to provide your personal details for record-keeping purposes. These will be stored securely in line with GDPR and our privacy policy.
